John Anthony Beason, born in Jamaica during the transformative years for Ska and Reggae Music in the 1960’s, is President and CEO of Kattegat Productions Inc. Driven by John’s passion for Reggae music and Rasta culture and understanding the music’s importance in the global struggle against social injustice, racism and oppression, Kattegat Productions Inc. led by John provides conscious music production services and works to unite the positive message of Reggae with its international audience. As the founder of Peer Pressure, John has spent decades in the music industry in Canada, England and Jamaica. Spreading the universal message of One Love is John’s and Kattegat’s mission in this unsettled world rocked by corruption, unjust war and climate catastrophe.

Margaret Knowles

Margaret Knowles is a Director and Vice President of Kattegat Productions Inc. Margaret was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada in the late 1950’s just as R&B and Motown broke down the remaining social barriers to become the dominant force in the music industry in North America changing the culture and by extension its social structure and the people forever! Margaret attended McGill University and Simon Fraser University pursuing a degree in political science and ultimately worked with numerous groups opposing the the war in Vietnam and supporting the civil rights movement. Margaret has held senior management positions in numerous companies in Canada. Her love of Blues, R&B and Reggae continues!

Cristian Alberto Banegas is an artist originally from Medellin Colombia, with more than 8 years of experience in the field of music. His musical style is influenced by urban Latin music, with a musical background from his father who was a local musician in the region of Medellin. His musical career began in 2015 when, due to the lack of opportunities, he decided to go live in Mexico and began to compose songs with some friends from his neighborhood. Cris B, as he is known in the musical world, has several singles of great quality and acceptance in the streets of Mexico City where he lived for a period of 3 years, and in Playa del Carmen where he has currently lived for 5 years. “Súbeme la Nota”, “Miéntele”, “Mi Tierra”, “Dime” are just some of the singles that he has produced to widespread popularity. Always seeking to be in contact with the musical world, Cris B works giving music and improvisation shows in various hotels, restaurants and clubs in the Riviera Maya, and with some presentations at highly relevant local events, always standing out with Reggaeton, Hip Hop, and Trap amongst his performance strengths.

Osvaldo Mauricio Valdes known as Forastero 507 is an artist born in Mexico City. He has more than 15 years of experience in the musical world. His main musical influence and the genre in which he developed as an artist is Hip Hop. He has 2 albums (Historias de Barrio and AMS Inspiraciones) in his career, as well as many singles that have been popular throughout Mexico and presented at important international festivals like Vive Latino, Hip Hop Planet, Mexico Rapea, Hip Hop Versus Drugs. He has shared the stage with Latin rap legends such as: Control Machete, Sociedad Cafe, Violadores del Verso and Kinto Sol.

His greatest ability is the composition of songs, poetry and stories. He has created and sold more than 100 songs for other artists of different musical genres. Another of his passions and skills is improvisation and RAP battles, where he has 2 national championships and many regional ones, standing out in the most important freestyle leagues in the country.
